Since 1998 more than 130 km of RHEDA CITY track have been installed in a number of German cities: e.g., Berlin, Dresden, Karlsruhe, Mannheim, and Nuremberg. Additional major projects are now being planned or are shortly before execution.

The North-South Commuter-Rail project in Cologne – according to the Cologne Rapid Transit Authority, the largest urban infrastructure project in Germany – represents a special challenge. Almost the entire line, 4 km long, is underground – including a section 30 m under the Philharmonic Hall. To avoid disturbing concerts, the tracks there must satisfy extremely strict specifications for protection against noise and vibrations. For the first constriction stage, RAIL.ONE is delivering 650 metres of track and, in collaboration with the company BWG GmbH & Co. KG, two turnouts with high-elastic support of the rails. System monitoring is an additional component of the project contract for RAIL.ONE.

The central train station in Chur is the hub of public transport. As part of re-design of the train-station square, the tracks of the Chur-Arosa line have been moved. The RHEDA CITY ballastless track system will now be installed here, for the first time in Switzerland. In addition to delivery of main-track and turnout sleepers, we are also responsible for system supervision here.

From August to October 2006, the “Aaltje Noorderwierstraat” tram line in The Hague, was equipped with ballastless-track technology à la RAIL.ONE. The system models RHEDA CITY and RHEDA CITY GREEN were installed over no less than 2.6 km of tram line, in the “City of Peace and Justice”.
In addition to delivery of approx. 2,800 bi-block sleepers, RAIL.ONE was responsible in this track project for system supervision, quality assurance, surveying services. An additional contract for approximately 800 metres of track along the Royal Library was also finished in the meantime.

In the Croydon district of south London, RAIL.ONE executed an initial pilot project involving the RHEDA CITY system. Besides delivery of TB/ZB sleepers, RAIL.ONE has also received contracts for engineering and quality supervision.

After winning contracts for the lines “Boulevard Maraşesti” and “1 Dec. 1918 Bd,” RAIL.ONE has now also been awarded the projects “Iancu de Hunedoara Site” and “Sos Oltenitel,” with delivery of TB/ZB sleepers. RAIL.ONE is delivering a total of around 20,000 m of track for these projects in Bucharest.
The RHEDA CITY system is used for a length of 5,000 metres, for the first time in Warsaw, Poland, on the Aleje Jerozolimskie line. In addition to delivery of the system itself, RAIL.ONE was also responsible for engineering and quality assurance for this project. An additional contract has already been awarded for approximately 300 metres.
