Pfleiderer track systems Opens New Sleeper Plant

Neumarkt / Kirchmöser, October 7, 2003 - Pfleiderer track systems,
an 100 percent affiliate of SDAX-listed Pfleiderer AG, is opening a new
sleeper plant at Brandenburg-Kirchmöser. Accompanied by numerous
personalities from politics, industry and society, Federal Minister for
Transport, Construction and Housing Dr. Manfred Stolpe will be symbolically
starting up a new production line for the production of turnout
sleepers.

Federal Transport Minister Dr. Manfred Stolpe Starts New Production Line:

* Cooperation with local BWG turnout plant on site strengthens logistic
synergies and improves delivery performance.
* Bundling know-how in rail-related technologies, plants and products at
the new Rail Technology Competence Center (BCC).
