Success at InnoTrans 2010

The world’s leading trade fair in our sector, with considerable increase in trade visitors, exhibitors, and floor space

Neumarkt, Germany, 25 September 2010 – Over 100,000 trade visitors from 110 countries, 52 international premiers of innovative products, and growth in exhibition area by 17 % to more than 150,000 m². Figures like these document not only the success of the fair concept and the attraction of Berlin as fair venue – they are a highly visible expression of dynamic development in the increasingly global market for railway technology. This fair also proved that Germany and the companies operating there remain in an internationally leading role with their technical standards, their expertise, and their innovative vitality.

For RAIL.ONE Group, InnoTrans 2010 represented an outstanding communications platform for cultivating existing business relationships and for making new contacts. Internationally prominent companies and various delegations from Europe, Russia, Africa, as well as the Near and Middle East indicated interest in our innovative track concepts.

Under the motto “Engineered by RAIL.ONE,” we presented at InnoTrans 2010 our extensive portfolio of products and services. At the fair we primarily focussed our efforts on dialogue with our national and international business partners. On around 160 m² of stand area, our many visitors were able to obtain valuable knowledge at first hand. On the basis of the RAIL.ONE thematic areas of activity in passenger, freight, and heavy-haul transport; planning; and construction of sleeper factories, visitors were effectively able to gain extensive information on the technical details of our comprehensive product portfolio. At these meetings, we placed primary emphasis on the trend to individualization and on new technical highlights. We presented a number of these innovations in Berlin: for example, a new solution for the transport of turnout sleepers, as well as our Road-Vehicle Access System for tracks.

Ralf D. Sobottka, President and CEO of RAIL.ONE GmbH, showed considerable satisfaction with the results of the fair: “InnoTrans 2010, as meeting place no. 1 for our sector, has impressively confirmed that the railway industry will continue over the coming years to provide important impetus for the overall economy. RAIL.ONE was present from hour one in this field and will in future continue to represent a key player in this exciting market.”

The next InnoTrans will take place from 18 to 21 September 2012.
